How Do You Convert Mont Alpi Grills From Propane to Natural Gas?

NG Conversions Should Be Done By A Licensed Professional Only

The below instructions are for reference only and should not be relied upon or referenced for an actual conversion. Please use the instructions & photos inside of the product manual that is delivered with your items.

Conversion Instructions

  1. Conversions are to be done by and authorized person only
  2. Make sure all control knob and cylinder valves are in the OFF position
  3. The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual
  4. Shut-off valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test pressures equal to or less than ½ psi (3.4kPa)

Main Burner Conversion:

  1. Unscrew and remove the rear panel
  2. Unscrew the main burner securing screws and remove the burner
  3. With the burner removed, you will see the brass gas jet (LPG) which is screwed into the end of the valve. Using the 6mm but driver supplied, unscrew the end of the LPG jet while retaining the inner(NG) jet
  4. Reassemble the burner

Rear Burner Conversion:

  1. Remove the back burner cover
  2. Remove the LPG jet from the elbow shaped brass injector assembly

Side Burner Conversion:

  1. Unscrew the valve
  2. Using the 6mm nut driver supplied, unscrew the end LPG jet while retaining the inner (NG) jet
  3. Reassemble the burner.Connect the QDD to the Natural Gas Supply
  4. Connect the grey hose to the QDD

Final Steps:

  1. Unscrew the bracket fixing the gas supply piping
  2. Unscrew the LPG gas hose and regulator
  3. Connect the NG hose
